Come out to the woods for a fast-paced survival training adventure! California Survival School’s legendary Core Survival Skills Training will introduce you to CORE concepts for tackling worst-case wilderness survival situations using both primitive and modern survival know-how and techniques.

- Survival Planning & Prioritization Keystones:
The expert “whys and hows” of wilderness survival and emergency response prioritization and planning that are critical to understand for anyone looking to successfully navigate wilderness adventure experiences and return home safety. Learn how to plan and prioritize for wilderness emergencies before they happen.
- Emergency Temperature Regulation: (Shelters, Survival Fire Skills, and Beyond)
By far the largest killer outdoors, learn well-rounded approaches to managing temperature world-wide. Topics covered include primitive & low-tech emergency shelter strategies, emergency fire-starting techniques, dressing for the outdoors, and much more.
- Mindset, Rest, & Cognitive/Emotional Management For Emergencies:
Having a proper approach to handling fear, panic, stress, and energy levels is critical for making it through outdoor survival situations.
- Hydration. Water-finding / Safety, Hydration Management Methodologies:
Learn how to locate water in the wilderness as well as how to make sure it’s safe to drink with and without modern tools or materials.
- Caloric Management & Wild Edibles for Emergencies:
Learn the realities of caloric management for short-term wilderness survival situations as well as how wild foraging and hunting techniques fit into wilderness survival planning and response.
- Land Navigation Fundamentals:
Learn the practical fundamentals of wilderness land navigation and compass use for survival situations.
Note: The program is taking place in Orange County & Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego County, Sacramento/Lake Tahoe, and there is no transportation included.
Age Requirements?
This course is appropriate for all ages 5+, however it is a fast-paced learning experience geared towards teens and adults. All participants under the age of 18 must have a participation agreement signed by their parent or legal guardian and children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the course who is also participating as a registered course student. Class Sizes: The average class size for this course is between 15 and 20 people. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 participants.
