The Carey School believes in developing and sustaining a socioeconomically diverse student body. This commitment to inclusion is an essential part of Carey’s mission.
We award more than $900,000 annually in financial assistance, which is allocated to current and newly admitted students on the basis of demonstrated need. This is determined by factors such as income, family size, assets, and liabilities.
The financial aid committee makes every effort to maintain a student's financial aid award throughout his or her entire career at Carey, when there is no significant change in a family’s financial situation. Families do need to reapply for financial aid annually, submit all forms as requested, and meet the stated deadlines.
All admission decisions are made without consideration of a family’s financial circumstances. After the admission committee makes its decision, a separate financial aid committee reviews the completed financial aid applications for both current and newly admitted students.
