7th-12th graders are invited to register for this Java course for beginners at the West Valley Branch Library. This introductory-level course teaches participants the fundamentals of Java, including the concepts of data types, conditional logic, and control flow. Participants will use the Eclipse Java IDE to gain hands-on knowledge of the Java programming language. This course is perfect for teens who want to take AP Computer Science A or just build their coding skills.
Participants need to bring their own laptops and download the Eclipse software for Java developers onto their laptop prior to the first class (to download the software, go to: https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/).
Pre-registration is required. Please do not register your child unless he or she is able to attend all eight sessions.This program is brought to the library by NextGen Coders.
