The City of San José Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services Department (PRNS) oversees nine regional parks, 207 neighborhood parks, 290 park playgrounds, 48 community centers, and almost 61 miles of trail. It has one of the most diverse service models of any agency of its type.

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) Scholarship Program will ensure that qualifying San José residents have affordable access to participation in PRNS programs, classes and services. All requests are subject to available funding. Eligibility requirements may differ for each scholarship.
