Explore the art of capturing the human face and form in this week-long portrait and figure drawing camp designed for young artists who are curious about anatomy, gesture, and expression. This camp offers a thoughtful introduction to one of the most challenging and rewarding subjects in art.
Led by Xiaosy Chen, students will learn foundational techniques and build confidence through hands-on practice, guided studies, and individual feedback. Working with a variety of tools and references, campers will gain insight into structure, proportion, and how to bring their characters and portraits to life.

● Head & Expression Drawing: Understand the structure of the head and how to draw it from different angles

● Proportion & Anatomy: Explore the fundamentals of body structure, balance, and pose construction
● Live & Photo Reference Work: Students will draw from curated reference photos and spend time working with a live model to develop observational skills and accuracy
