Our History

Established in 1994 by Martha Phillips-Bootzin and Alexander Bootzin, SPINDRIFT SCHOOL of PERFORMING ARTS (SSPA) in Pacifica is a thriving non-profit performing arts school. Despite Martha's passing in 2008, her legacy lives on. SSPA provides high-quality arts experiences to over 3,000 students annually through various programs. With 30 years of growth and strong community support, SSPA offers a stable platform for children to receive exceptional arts education. All are welcome to join the Spindrift Family, where lasting experiences and friendships await.

Dance Classes

We at SSPA believe that dance is so much more than technique. There is a mover in each of us, and our skilled instructors take pride in their abilities to unearth every student’s inner dancer. Our dance classes explore the unique joy that is movement, providing the tools to not only use our bodies as instruments, but as a powerful means of self-expression.

Theatre Classes

SSPA graduates excel in both musical theatre and theatre programs, shaping the "triple threat" and fostering a love for music, movement, and language. SSPA's theatre education, rooted in play, instills essential skills and confidence for the stage and life.
