What you'll do
Set your coding skills in motion as you create and animate all week long. Take coding platform Tynker for a spin, learning animation and visual programming basics to make a collection of moving masterpieces from animated games to interactive worlds. No prior coding experience required.
Build block-coding basics to power your animated creations throughout the week. BE COURAGEOUS to solve coding puzzles and apply your newfound skills to a walloping game of whack-a-mole. Animate cartoons like the pros, drawing your own characters and bringing their words and movements to life through code. BE VISIONARY as you write and produce a three-act story, using visual programming to control your scene’s speed and animation type. Make a dance party music video that shows off your best animated moves. Wind down the week on a playful note by building a dynamic series of throwing, thieving, platform-hopping, road-crossing games.
Note: This weeklong class is more than just innovation-igniting projects—it’s an immersive experience full of delightful details, including interactive games, energizing music, snacks (see Additional Prep, below) and dress-up days, designed to build community, bolster confidence and deliver loads of camp-away-from-camp fun. Kids will have ongoing access to their Tynker accounts so they can keep working on their virtual creations after class.
