The common perception of history is that it is exactly that: History -- fixed, known, dead. But history is dynamic! New discoveries are made daily that lead to reinterpretation of the past, and those discoveries are made by people that engage in historical investigation. To make history, we use a set of skills that you can learn. This course introduces students to historical thinking, focusing on critically reading primary and secondary sources, considering biases, analyzing causes and recognizing effects, developing a historical perspective, and writing analytically. Come make history!
*Students may enroll in both Session 1&2 and will not repeat the same classes.
