Resident Camp is for campers 8-18 years old. It is a week full of exciting adventures, challenging skills, & outrageous activities. We have over 70 years of programming experience that we rely on to provide the most fun in a safe environment. Summer camp is a transforming, life changing experience & we can’t wait to share it with you!
Our ultimate goal is that each person that crosses the cattle guard has an opportunity to see God. We know that this doesn’t happen the same way for every person, so we aim to present the gospel and point to Jesus in every aspect of our programs. We have bible studies & devos, but we also train our staff to seize opportunities at archery, canoeing, meal time, walking to the pool, & everything in between to help our campers see the character & love of God. We strive to plant as much of God’s word as possible in their heads & hearts trusting that God will make truth grow. We also work towards equipping our campers to seek after the Lord on their own & hope they will practice these things long after they leave.
Life is busy. Sometimes kids have to grow up a bit too fast. Because of this, we strive to create an environment where kids can just be kids. Our campers enjoy playing, exploring, using their imagination, laughing, creating, learning, and being exactly who God created them to be for one week. They will learn new skills, enjoy silly games, make new friends, walk with influential young men & women, challenge themselves, & hopefully, most of all, fall deeper in love with Jesus who came that they might enjoy an abundant life!
Because the world is not made up of one cookie cutter person, we hire a diverse staff with many different stories, gifts, hobbies, & interests in the hopes that every camper can find a leader that “gets” them. We desire to meet our campers right where they are, come alongside them in their journey, & instill in them that they are loved and valued just as they are, not only by us, but by the Creator of the Universe. If sports is their thing, or chess, or books, or the outdoors, or theater, or academics, Peniel is a place they can belong. If they know a lot about God, a little, or nothing at all, Peniel is a place they can belong.
We hope you can join us for a week of life changing adventure!

Having Financial Struggles?
Camp Peniel does not want to turn away any person due to lack of money. Therefore, we maintain a Campership Fund to provide limited assistance to families unable to pay the entire camp fee. The Campership Fund is supported by individuals and churches who wish to assist in providing a camp experience for all, regardless of financial status. As the Campership Fund is limited and we wish to assist as many people as possible, we do ask that you consider carefully and prayerfully the amount of your campership request.
Campership requests and approvals are kept confidential. The recipient will not be discriminated against in any way, and no one will be made aware of campership arrangements.
Who is eligible for scholarship assistance?
Limited partial scholarships are available for families needing financial support. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligibility criteria include but are not limited to family income, parent or guardian employment status, and specific individual or family circumstances.
