Operation Breakthrough

The mission of Operation Breakthrough is to provide a safe, loving and educational environment for children in poverty and to empower their families through advocacy, emergency aid and education.

In addition to early learning, Operation Breakthrough offers before-and-after school care for children 5 years to 13 years, as well as full summer programming. OB offers pediatric health care in an on-site clinic operated in collaboration with Children’s Mercy Hospital. We have dental care, mental health services, speech and occupational therapy, tutoring and mentoring, and we provide services for the children’s families including a food pantry, nutrition assistance through an on-site WIC office, a clothing closet, and case management.
