In this engineering focused class, students will be challenged to follow a design process with given constraints and criteria to critically provide solutions to an identified problem. They will evaluate and figure out how to use the conversions between kinetic and potential energy to power a boat with rubber bands, create a zipline to carry a payload, or create faster and more thrilling roller coaster rides. They will also assess properties of different materials as well as specific design constructs to provide optimal use case scenarios.
Sessions:
- 1 (Jun 15 - Jun 25)
- 2 (Jun 29 - Jul 9)
