About

At Camp Jamison, we firmly believe in the transformative power of the overnight summer camp experience. We are dedicated to making this experience accessible to every child, ensuring they can sleep in rustic cabins, explore the enchanting woods, and create lasting memories around the campfire with friends. Since our establishment in 2011, we have remained committed to providing an immersive one-week overnight summer camp adventure to children from the Philadelphia area.

Our mission at Camp Jamison is grounded in diversity, inclusivity, and affordability principles. We recognize the importance of these values, especially for kids growing up in a city with its unique set of challenges. Camp Jamison serves as a vital escape and reset for these young individuals, offering a week of fun, relaxation, and reflection. Our carefully curated activities not only entertain but also foster the development of vital interpersonal and peace-building skills. We aim to empower these children to become future neighborhood community leaders.

Camp Jamison offers support for students with special needs. Please reach out for more information.

James M. Trauger Memorial Scholarship

James M. Trauger was a founding Board Member of Camp Jamison. Camp Jamison would not exist without his support, guidance and endless advice.

Jim dedicated his life to providing children with the opportunity to experience summer camp. He knew that conversations were better when held on cabin porches, and that a great week at camp can change a child’s life.

In memory of his life and to celebrate his impact on Camp Jamison, we’ve established the James M. Trauger Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to a worthy new camper every summer.
