Spanish 1: Welcome to Spanish 1. This course covers basic Spanish vocabulary, grammar, and history. Middle school Spanish is preferable; please reach out to Spring.Light.Edu@gmail.com for questions regarding prerequisites.
Spanish 2: Welcome to Spanish 2. This class covers intermediate Spanish vocabulary, grammar, and history for the 10th grade level. Spanish 1 or US High School 9th grade Spanish levels is preferable/required.
Spanish 3: Welcome to Spanish 3! This class is appropriate for students who are in 11th grade or who have successfully completed Spanish 1 & 2 with a passing grade. In this class, we will learn new vocabulary, connect Spanish with science and math, read authentic short stories, and communicate what is important in our personal relationships, and develop a strong foundation for the study of Spanish language and culture.
Spanish 4: Welcome to Spanish 4! This class is appropriate for students who are in 12th grade or who have successfully completed Spanish 2 & 3 with a passing grade. In this class, we will learn new vocabulary, connect Spanish with science and math topics, read authentic short stories, and communicate what is important in our personal relationships, and develop a strong foundation for the study of Spanish language and culture.
AP Spanish: Welcome to AP Spanish! AP Spanish Language and Culture is equivalent to an intermediate level college course in Spanish. Students cultivate their understanding of Spanish language and culture by applying interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational modes of communication in real-life situations as they explore concepts related to family and communities, personal and public identities, beauty and aesthetics, science and technology, contemporary life, and global challenges.
