Recognizing that day camp is often the first experience away from home, counselors provide a caring environment, facilitating personal and group adjustment. Campers are divided into groups based on age/grade level and spend the entire day with their group. Groups will be comprised of 15-20 campers with 2 head counselors and an assistant counselor.
Campers explore a variety of outdoor activities (weather-permitting). With their group, campers enjoy Arts & Crafts, Cooking, Music, Games, and more. Their enthusiastic counselors plan activities, often aligned with weekly themes such as Halloween Week and Circus Week. Each week we bring in special events such as inflatable bouncers and the the trackless train to enhance our programs. Each Exploration Camp group has a dedicated time for their group to partake of these special experiences.
Every day, groups have scheduled swim time in our leisure pool with their counselors and are supervised by certified lifeguards. Campers with advanced skills will have opportunities to swim in the main pool if they pass a qualifying swim test.
All campers must be able to use the bathroom independently. Pull-ups are not allowed at camp.
Campers must be at least 3 years old by the start of camp to attend.
Campers requesting to be paired with other campers must be similarly aged and registered for the same camp session.
Campers currently in preschool through kindergarten, must be at least 3 years of age
