About

Coding and engineering collide in this multifaceted course. Students start with the foundation of a computer—the hardware. Then they get binary (01101100 01101111 01101100) to learn how a computer executes coded instructions. Putting this knowledge together with object-oriented programming concepts in JavaScript, students will program the micro:bit, an interactive, pocket-sized computer that's theirs to take home. They'll use JavaScript to detect motion, send messages, and make games, while developing real-world hardware and coding skills.

In this course, your student will:

  • Use the micro:bit to code games and apps
  • Code in JavaScript and build simple logic circuits
  • Understand how programs work and what code does
  • Develop logical thinking skills.

Your student will take home:

  • Project files
  • The micro:bit

This course is perfect for students wanting a future in Coding.

Overnight Camp

5 Nights. All Meals. Sun 6pm-Fri 3-4pm. First meal Sunday night. Last meal Friday lunch.
