The 2024 edition of GTRSI is a one-week summer camp targeted at high school students who are passionate about advancing their robotics knowledge in a diverse breadth of applications. Students will collaborate and strategize to traverse a customized racetrack using an autonomously controlled robot. They will gain incredible hands-on experience by applying design optimization, localization techniques, and camera recognition sensing to navigate a course. They will also compete in a virtual reality game to enhance their understanding of situational awareness factors in dynamic environments. Furthermore, the students will have the opportunity to receive active mentorship from graduate students, see a biosensor demo in a graduate research lab as applied to human-augmented robotics, and attend workshops to expose themselves to relevant skill sets within the space.
