Collaborate directly with Mr. Jonas Basom, M.Ed., Bravo-Award winner, national arts consultant, adjunct professor, and author of Drama Works! Teaching System (no teaching artists), to create a research study to measure the academic and social-emotional impact of arts integration teaching methods compared to traditional approaches. Mr. Basom will collaborate with teachers to design 5 model arts integration lessons combining standards from theatre and another subject area for a chosen grade level K-12, as well as pre- and post-tests for each lesson. Some teachers will lead the traditional lesson while others lead the arts integration lesson; the data collection will show how much more students learned from the arts integration lesson. Mr. Basom will train the teachers how to lead the arts integration lessons, and guide compilation and editing of a final video story of the findings including video samples of the lessons, interviews with admin, teachers, and students, to be shared with the community. Option to add Drama Works! curriculum materials for teachers (additional cost).
