The Beginner Level Dance Track is for those who are newer to the fundamentals of dance. This track will ensure that you get comfortable with the basics of Jazz, Tap and Ballet as well as teaching your body how to prepare for any style of dance you want to pursue.
Monday @ 4:45 (June 1, 8, 15) - Ballet- Chelsea (Ages 8-18) - Ballet is the foundation of all dance, and we have fun with ballet! If you are new or just getting comfortable with Ballet, this is the class for you.
Tuesday @ 2:15 (June 2, 9, 16) - Contemporary- Bekah (Ages 8-18) - This class will encourage dancers to express emotion through a free-flowing, interpretive style similar to lyrical.
Wednesday @ 3:30 (June 3, 10, 17) - Modern- Hope (Ages 8-18) - Students will learn and practice the basics of Modern Dance based on Doris Humphrey and Jose Limon as well as be introduced to Improvisational Dance.
Thursday @ 2:15 (June 4, 11, 18) - Strength and Flexibility - Bekah (Ages 8-18) - This class focuses on the body's center; the core is where all movements begin and end. Improving balance, flexibility, body alignment, and strength allows a dancer to perform at their full potential.
Thursday @ 3:30 (June 4, 11, 18) - Tap - Amy (Ages 8-18) - This class will focus on endurance, skill, core, and tap technique.
Saturday @ 12:00 (June 6, 13, 20) - Jazz - Hope (Ages 8-18) - Jazz Dance is based on the techniques of ballet, modern, and African dance and is always fun for any dancer at any level! If you are new or just getting comfortable with Jazz, this is the class for you.
