Learn to sew this summer at Camp Stitch! Led by Kristen Takakuwa, who has been teaching sewing to kids and adults for over 8 years, we provide a supportive, fun, and stress-free atmosphere for exploring adventures in sewing. Just like learning to ride a bike, learning to sew is a life skill your camper will never forget.
During camp, the students will learn how to operate a sewing machine, how to take body measurements, and define commercial pattern terminology. Campers will make a Happi Coat, which is based on a unisex style traditional Japanese robe.
At Hello Stitch, campers will have access to our sewing machines and tools. We will also provide all supplies needed for the camp projects. All your camper has to do is show up, be ready to learn and have fun! Independence in sewing can open the door to endless creative opportunities for your camper.
