Adventures on a Big Boat

Prerequisite: attend Basic Sunfish and Flying Scot Camp – crew, first mate or skipper rating

Prepare for a fun week as part of an exclusive small team, sailing our largest boat in the fleet. Our intrepid adventures will put you on board our 27 foot Hunter, where you will learn to steer with a wheel, use a winch to sheet in your sails, navigate along the river and keep a boat shipshape. Teamwork is key and fun is required. Adventures on a big boat will allow campers to explore the Potomac River from Woodrow Wilson Bridge to Haines Point, DC. Opportunities to kayak around the boat, use a ladder and sail for lunch to Old Town are weather dependent.

Camp meets Monday through Friday 9:30am-4:00pm. No camp July 4th
