The Esports & Gaming LLC creates a living environment in Fisher West Suites that offers a unique program for students interested in gaming, either as a member of university-sponsored Esports teams or as a recreational gamer. The learning community brings peers together who have a love of gaming and would like to take their game to a higher level – be it competitively, a career goal, or making gamer friends.
Highlights include:Very close proximity to the Esports & Gaming Lounge plus exclusive access to the competition center, events for this community include faculty and special guest visits, tournaments, career panels, and skill-building workshops.
TU Esports Summer Camp is designed by gamers for gamers and is open to all skill levels from ages 12-18.
The School of Language & Literature at the University of Tulsa offers World Language courses in Chinese, French, German, Greek, Latin, Russian and Spanish at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Beginning and intermediate courses are primarily language-based. More advanced courses are designed for students to acquire insights into world cultures through films, literature, linguistics, and journalistic analyses of current events. To know which level best suits the language proficiency of entry students, an online placement test helps avoid unnecessary courses.
Students with diagnosed disabilities (or who think they may have a disability and want to find out) work with Student Access to receive accommodations that will provide access to all opportunities. Student Access provides ongoing support and assistance to students with all disabilities, including ADHD, learning disabilities, psychological disabilities, and physical disabilities. In order to receive accommodations best suited and approved for their needs, students provide documentation of their disability to Student Access. Students can schedule an appointment with Student Access staff to discuss documentation and requested accommodations. After accommodations are approved, each student works with Student Access staff to set up arrangements for their accommodations.
