What is history, and why do historical accounts differ? Why are some events included and others not? How does their version of events compare to others’ versions of the same event? Why do two historical accounts differ when both sides believe they are telling the truth? How would students prove that their version of events was true? In this summer class, students will read and explore primary and secondary documents about Genghis Khan to determine the answers to these questions. By the end of this two-week class, students will research and write a multiparagraph argumentation relating to Genghis Khan, his life and his impact. Join us on this journey to critically examine and rethink history.
