The Ave Crux Program

Ave Crux is a mission-driven year-round program rooted in the tradition of Holy Cross, dedicated to parent engagement and delivering academic and social enrichment for our first-generation college-bound middle school students. Our purpose is to provide students a pathway of admission into parochial and private school by bolstering academic confidence, self-esteem, and resilience. We prepare our students through hands-on instruction in English, math and science, coupled with Holy Cross formation by infusing our BRIC principles and social-emotional learning modules into both our academic curriculum and enrichment activities.

Blessed Basil Moreau's founding mission to educate students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds is upheld as we admit rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders centered on need-based criteria. Our curriculum caters to varying learning abilities, with small class sizes ensuring individualized instruction. Expectations include homework, graded assignments and weekly assessments that foster growth, resilience and a passion for learning.
