Board Games Meet Artificial Intelligence

Ages 8-12

We often hear so much about artificial intelligence (AI). But, what is it really? We’ll break down the concepts of AI, specifically machine learning, into easy examples that make sense. Together we’ll explore feature extraction, classification, and image recognition, and learn about convolution neural networks by playing Samaira’s board game, CoderMindz. Then, we’ll apply these concepts to create a game of rock paper scissors, where you get to play against the computer!

Your instructor, Samaira Mehta is all about making complex concepts entertaining, just as she simplified coding and AI through her chain of educational but engaging coder board games. This class is Step 4 in the “Coding as easy as 1234” suite of classes.

Students who have been successfully enrolled will receive an email confirmation by June 22.

All materials will be provided.

Free. Registration is required. Students interested in attending other classes in the suite will need to register separately for each class, as seating is limited to 20 students.

This series is taught in English only.

This program is done in partnership with NetApp. Participants will have the opportunity to win board games and prizes donated by NetApp.

Chúng ta thường nghe rất nhiều về trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI). Nhưng thật sự nó là gì? Chúng tôi sẽ chia nhỏ các khái niệm về AI, cụ thể là khái niệm máy học, thành các ví dụ dễ hiểu và có ý nghĩa. Chúng ta sẽ cùng nhau khám phá trích xuất đặc điểm, phân loại và nhận dạng hình ảnh, đồng thời tìm hiểu về mạng nơ-ron tích chập bằng cách chơi trò chơi của Samaira, trò chơi CoderMindz. Sau đó, chúng ta sẽ áp dụng những khái niệm này để tạo trò chơi oẳn tù tì (trò chơi rock paper scissors), trong trò chơi này, các bạn có thể đấu với máy tính!

Người hướng dẫn khóa này là cô Samaira Mehta. Cô luôn quan tâm đến việc làm cho các khái niệm phức tạp trở nên thú vị, giống như cô đã đơn giản hóa việc viết mã và trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI) thông qua chuỗi trò chơi board game dành cho lập trình viên mang tính giáo dục nhưng hấp dẫn của mình.
