Inventors Wanted!
Take your Minecraft and Roblox creations to the next level and receive 3D prints of your builds!
Finally a chance to see your builds in real-life! Your printed items will truly be one of a kind when you design them inside the Minecraft and Roblox platforms and print them out at camp.
Using Minecraft™ as a learning tool, you will customize and create your own epic worlds and explore the benefits and challenges of Minecraft’s various biomes. Within Minecraft, you’ll also use a selection of blocks and resources to design and craft projects. Work through a full design process from hand drawing and planning pixel art to construction in Minecraft and printing in real life! Pick your favorite builds and upload them to 3D printing software to bring your creations to life.
Within the Roblox platform, you’ll learn important skills including customizing terrain, adding items, creating characters, and designing environments! Then, you get to create awesome designs such as foods, vehicles, tools, and more. Materialize your virtual creations through our 3D printing software.
Camp Projects
Campers 3D model multiple projects each week, and take home at least one printed project (and a file with all of their designs.) Please have your child bring a USB drive to camp on Friday to copy all project files. Campers take projects created at 3D Printing Camp home and assume ownership of each project.
Footwear
Closed-toe shoes/sneakers are required.
Warning for Projects
Projects created by campers at 3D Printing Camp may be small in size, and may therefore pose a risk of choking or other harm. These projects must be kept out of the reach of small children or anyone who has the tendency to put inedible objects in their mouth. All projects are created for the use of our campers ages 7 & up.
All campers must arrive with their own Minecraft Java edition accounts.
