Camp Wyandot, Inc. is an independent 501(3)(c)nonprofit serving youth & families in Ohio since 1913
Our Mission: To provide an inclusive nurturing environment for youth to have fun, make friends, serve others, and explore the great outdoors.
Camp Wyandot overnight camp is offered during seven weeks of the summer for all youths from 7 to 17, and includes activities such as outdoor skills, overnights, creeking, hiking, crafts, swimming, Kayaking/canoeing. archery, natural plants/animals/geology, and special themed programs. The Camp is located in the Hocking Hills region surrounded on three sides by Clear Creek Metro Park. We are accredited by the American Camp Association. Many of the 700 campers return to camp from year to year.
The organization also operates Camp Otonwe, a day camp held for six weeks at the John Beltz Retreat Center in Galena, Ohio. Weekly themed activities range from Crafty and Cool, to Messy Science Fun, to Super Explorer, and others. Over 250 day campers from 5 to 12 years old, attend one or more weekly sessions.
Camp Wyandot, inc, also provides special weekend activities throughout the year for children, adults and family participants.
Camp Fire Central Ohio offers limited scholarships to those that qualify for financial assistance. We call our schplarships “Camperships” and you could be awarded part or most of a one week camp fee for either Camp Wyandot and Camp Otonwe.
