Don't throw away your broken items - Fix and learn! Come to Saratoga Library's Repair Workshop to give your items a Second Life! Volunteers will not only help repair them, but they will also teach you how to fix things yourselves. For this session, the following repairs and maintenance will be offered: Small Electrical Appliances: Troubleshoot and fix basic household appliance problems such as frayed wires, loose screws, broken knobs Electronic Devices: Detailed external cleaning and dusting of your desktop PCs, laptops, smartphones and tablets. (Cleaning the hard drive, history data or any software will not be offered.)Bike Repair Diagnosis & Education: Fix flat tires, kick stands, brakes, shifters, tighten seats and baskets, Clothes Mending: Simple sewing tasks such as loose buttons, ripped seams, torn jeans, Garden Tool Repairs: leaky hoses, "sticky" shears, loose handles, Repair service is provided by BSA Scouts Troop 566 and Repair Cafe volunteers from Mountain View and Palo Alto.
