Monkey Business Camp

We offer day camps and youth leadership for kids, ages 3-16 in Berkeley and Oakland, California, offering a variety of fun, with a lot of time outdoors. Our programs range from summers in Tilden Park, to tween and teen field trip camps, to Pre-K camp, to holiday vacation camps. Our mission is to provide spaces for children to experience the joy of the outdoors, to learn about and celebrate being in a diverse community, to discover their unique talents and passions, and to relax and have fun in a supportive, kind environment. We are part of the movement to honor the earth and all beings and to cultivate qualities of restoration, justice and care.

Our Philosophy

We started Monkey Business Camp in 1998 to nurture the creativity and individuality of each child in a loving and magical environment. We develop programs with balance of structured and spontaneous activities, hire dynamic and kind staff, and then go about building a community centered around fun and respect.
