In this exciting 12-week program, students read some of the best books ever written and meet weekly for fun, engaging class discussions. The program is taught by highly trained teachers who know how to bring middle schoolers ‘inside’ great books for a unique, immersive experience. The result is that students develop a lifelong habit of reading for pleasure that will help them succeed in school and beyond.
The Right Skills
The best way for your middle schooler to become a skilled, enthusiastic reader is to do a lot of reading in great books. In this program, your child will improve vocabulary and reading comprehension. Students who don’t read outside of school can fall behind, but your 6th grader will grow as a reader and stay ahead of increasingly challenging reading.

The Right Books Your son or daught er will really benefit from reading and discussing carefully selected books at the right level of challenge. The books chosen for the Literature Program feature compelling characters and intriguing stories with the power to engage the imagination and the heart. 6th graders in the fall program read two of the greatest novels ever written for young people, completing two or three 20-30 minute reading assignments each week.
