Jeans are really fun to make but sometimes daunting to do on your own. We'll break it down into bite sized pieces and you'll make a pair of jeans you love that fit you well. We will be using the Closet Case Morgan Jeans, which are a mid rise, straight cut jean for use with NON-Stretch Denim.

-How to adjust the pattern for your body measurements -Pattern Layout for cutting -Sewing Techniques specific to jeans (Yes, you can do it on your home machine) - Back Pockets, Front pockets, to Fell or not to Fell seam your jeans and more! -How to install a button fly -Fitting your jeans before they are finished -Installing the waist band and belt loops - How to Sew a Leather patch on the back
Jean buttons included in class. All other materials should be purchased separately.
Confident Beginner students welcome. You MUST know how to operate the machine.
Fabric must be purchased ahead of time and pre-washed (and Ironed preferrably). We are expecting an arrival of denim in November and we have some great denim & heavy cotton ticking & canvas available now. You will need the following: Denim, Cotton ticking, Canvas or Corduroy - estimated based on your side. 3 1/4-3 3/4 yards of 30" wide or 1 3/4 - 2 3/4 yards of 45" wide or 1 1/2 - 2 1/4 yards of 58" wide Thread - you might want contrast thread for the topstitching
