Come join Teacher Holly in this exciting new camp, where actors will work together to create and perform an original script! With a focus on character development, storytelling, and world building, campers will work together to imagine a story that features the characters from the story of Peter Pan coming together for a potluck! The final performance will be a prepared improv where each actor plays a role in the story they have created. Actors will use items around their house along with creative instruction from our teachers to create costumes and props. The performance will be recorded on zoom and provided to participants to share with friends and family.
Each day of camp will include a balance of synchronous time onscreen, independent time where campers work according to given instructions, and opportunities for questions, feedback, and check ins along the way. Students will exercise both their minds and bodies as they participate in physical warm ups and games, create costumes and props, and brainstorm with both the instructor and their fellow campers. You won't want to miss this unique, interactive opportunity to get those artistic juices flowing!
