We all know what happens when you give
a mouse a cookie, but what happens when
you give a Barstow summer camper a pencil and paper? They will write some great
stories of course! Spend a week reading
some old classics and new favorites from
Laura Numeroff, Dav Pilkey, Mo Willems
and more. Afterwards, create your own storybook masterpieces, just like your favorite
best-selling authors!

Campers participate in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor activities, sports, board games and LEGO building. Campers are divided into two age-appropriate groups. Preschool through kindergarten campers enjoy activities in the Babbitt Media Center, while campers in grades 1–8 gather in the Lisa Schultz Dining Hall.
AM Care is offered from 7:15–8:45 a.m. daily, after which campers are escorted by staff to their camp meeting place. PM Care is offered from 3:30–6:00 p.m. If you are unexpectedly late or delayed in picking up your children, they are escorted by staff to Extended Care at 3:45 p.m.
