The mission of River Camp is to foster memorable experiences that connect youth to the San Joaquin River through fun and engaging educational activities. River Camp runs on the following core values:

River Camp at Scout Island
Time: Camper check-in takes place each day from 8:15-8:45 am at the River Center (11605 Old Friant Rd). All River Campers must ride the River Camp bus to and from Scout Island each day. Campers return to the River Center at approximately 4:15 pm, Monday-Thursday. On Friday the River Camp play is held at the River Center at 3:30 pm; campers may leave with their guardian as soon as the play is finished.

Special Needs
We welcome campers with special needs so long as having them in a group does not prevent the counselor from performing the basic functions of their job.

We offer scholarships for River Camp, though the deadline for applications is in April of each year.
