When writers add details to their true stories (non-fiction) they are more interesting. When writers fabricate details, we believe them - and we call it fiction. In this class we will write true and false stories with details, conflict, and lively dialogue that makes it sounds like the characters are really talking. Sometimes we will play make-believe games and act out stories to make them feel real in our minds before we write them.
