Grades 8-12
The All-Star Ensemble is multiple groups in one. For the first 90 minutes of rehearsal, the group is a big band comprised of “traditional” jazz instruments: saxophone, trombone, trumpet, and rhythm section. For the last 75 minutes, the group will break into two smaller groups. (The first group will be comprised of the lead players and rhythm section with the remaining members in the second group).
Note: students will have the option to play only in the big band, but tuition is the same.
Rehearsals: The group will meet at the Milestones facility on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:15 pm
Performances: The All-Star Ensemble will represent the Milestones program at jazz festivals and other events both semesters. The small groups will also have performance opportunities.
All students interested in the program are required to take part in an audition (see the Milestones Calendar for audition dates). If you are unable to participate in the audition that day, please be sure to contact us so we can make alternate arrangements.

Ưu đãi
Milestones awards need-based scholarships for the school-year program. A lack of financial resources should not keep any child from participating in the program. The scholarship application is a simple one, and we encourage you to apply if finances are a concern.
All scholarship decisions will be made prior to the first rehearsal, and you will be notified by e-mail. Those interested in applying should contact the project director.
