Since opening in June 1990, Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose has welcomed over 8.3 million visitors. Our striking 52,000 sq.ft. purple building, designed by Mexico City-based architect Ricardo Legorreta, signals the Museum’s purpose: to serve the needs of children, families and schools as a center for learning and discovery. Recent expansion outdoors adds another half-acre filled with activities designed to be a bridge to nature for our community’s children and families.
