Catlin Gabel is thrilled to partner with the Sauvie Island Center for a weeklong farm experience! Participants will spend the week at Topaz Farm, exploring the Grow Lunch Garden. Each day promises a new adventure, with a focus on different aspects of the Sauvie Island Center curriculum, such as the Pollination Station, Plant Parts Investigation, Seed to Harvest (plant life cycle), Wildlife and the Food Web, and Soil, Compost, and Decomposers. The Sauvie Island Center's educational staff will lead campers in farm exploration activities, including planting, caring for, and harvesting crops in the Grow Lunch Garden. If conditions permit, campers will also gather produce from the garden to create fresh, delicious additions to their sack lunches. Additional activities include nature-themed arts and crafts, games, and exploration. A Catlin Gabel bus will provide transportation to and from Sauvie Island for the campers.

We believe that diversity in all its forms strengthens our community and exposes students to new ideas and different perspectives. We encourage families to apply for admission even if the cost of the published tuition seems out of reach. More than a quarter of our student body receives financial assistance through need-based tuition or merit scholarships.
