Goldman Union Camp Institute

ብዛዕባ

GUCI provides a fun, loving, inclusive, and safe environment for campers and staff to explore their Jewish identity, gain self-confidence and life-skills, develop long-lasting relationships, grow as leaders, and build a Kehilla Kedosha--a holy community.

GUCI is a community where everyone feels at home. Our campers and staff create and live in an atmosphere not only where it is cool to be Jewish, but where it is celebrated. Our Jewish heritage, history and values are integral parts of our program.

Through activities specifically designed to build friendships within both cabin groups and grade-specific units, campers are part of a greater Jewish community made up of thousands of alumni who have enjoyed a summer in Zionsville (the beautiful city our camp is housed in, outside of Indianapolis).

Our Camp Care Team is composed of mental health professionals, social workers, and teachers that help children of varying abilities adjust to life at camp. We have found that campers with the following diagnoses can be successful at camp, with the right supports:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Cognitive delays
  • Executive functioning delays
  • Mental health diagnoses, such as depression and anxiety
  • ADHD
  • OT/PT needs
  • Learning disabilities
  • Hearing loss

GUCI has some scholarship funds available. Please contact the office for a copy of our Campership Application and we will send it to you once it is available.
