This is the first of the intermediate Java course series. The class will still be very much project-based and with the basic foundation in place, you will be able to create more sophisticated projects that involve a number of Java classes, and make use of Java interfaces, annotations, exceptions, and go deeper into the use of the language.
The AP Java series is composed of three courses. While the name of this course is called "AP Java", the title only indicates that it will ultimately cover all topics from the AP Computer Science exam and more.
This series is roughly equivalent to what is being taught at a high school Java class. However, our class uses the latest Java version (Java 8 instead of Java 6), emphasizes best practices, teaches JavaFX, and has fewer students so each person will get individualized attention.
