Students will hone their craft by experimenting with the Meisner Technique and improvisation. This will be a Creative and Fun learning lab for both beginning and advanced actors who want to build confidence playing in their art. Students will utilize the skills they develop during this week-long lab for on-camera work!
*Friday will be a Film Shoot where the students will get to have their final scenes filmed. Final videos will be sent out to the families within 2 weeks of the final day of class.
The Youth Summer Acting Academy is a program created by Bay Area Acting Studio's founder, Christy English. This program is designed for the novice, beginner, intermediate or advanced actor or non actor who just wants to have a great experience. If you want your child or teen to be involved in a creative, educational and engaging program then this is the place for them. Our young attendees will be trained and prepared to act in television or film whether they want to just have a fun experience or if they are preparing to work in the entertainment industry.
Actors will explore the Meisner Technique of acting, improvisation, cold readings, working with scripts (made for film, television, and commercials), and acting in front of the camera! Additionally, participants will receive a video file of their final performance!
