Oakland Parks, Recreation, & Youth Development (OPRYD) is excited to provide a fun and safe summer camp experience for youth ages 5-12 years old at 18 recreation centers city wide. Campers will participate in a variety of enrichment activities including field games, craft making, arts, fitness, tie dying shirt making, wacky water Fridays, intro to lacrosse, camp songs, STEAM projects, math & reading power hour, performances for town expression week, giant bubbles, gardening, and lots of fun outdoor games.
Safety was and continues to be our top priority. Campers will be organized into fun pods, where camp staff regularly reminds and encourages health and safety practices such as social distancing and handwashing as outlined by the Alameda County Health Department.
