Join us for a short downstream paddle on the San Joaquin River.
Our half-day tour is a great way to get started with paddling on the San Joaquin River. Your guide will provide basic paddling instruction and safety guidelines, then lead you on a downstream trip through calm, quiet stretches and exhilirating riffles. Enjoy beautiful scenery, and catch a glimpse of the beautiful birds and other wildlife that call the river their home.
This tour is appropriate for paddlers aged 12 and up. Physical requirements: Guests should be able to walk on uneven ground to enter and exit the boats, and use hands, arms, and torso for paddling.
Times: All Sunset Tours start at 4:30pm and end at approximately 8:00pm. River conditions and group dynamics (paddling speed) can increase or decrease the length of the tour, so all ending times are approximate.
Special Needs
We welcome campers with special needs so long as having them in a group does not prevent the counselor from performing the basic functions of their job.
