Complete hands-on activities and team-building events to earn your own sew-on Remington nature Center patch. The theme for 2019 is Wonders of Weather! Here are some of the stations:
**Linda Allen and Barbara Martin with American Red Cross will present a program on Thunderstorms, and Lightning Safety. (Program times are 10:30am, 11:30am, and 1pm. You only have to attend one of the programs to earn the patch.)
**Naturalist Shelly and Taz, a Nature Center volunteer, will have various Nature Center education critters out to meet, and will speak about how various mammals and reptiles react during inclement weather.
**Make and take your own tornado. The Nature Center will have everything you need to make a twister, with a tornado tube you also get to take home!
**Work together to complete a Nature Center indoor scavenger hunt. Find the locations of the 12 hidden items, and win a prize!
**Matt Brooks, meteorologist with FOX 26 KNPN will speak on weather phenomena, and how to stay safe.
Admission is $5 per youth, and $4 per adult. Seniors 60 and older are $3 each.
