If you’ve ever dreamed of being the next star reporter on Barstow Television Network, this is the summer camp for you. Run every aspect of our summer camp BTVN news station. Read on camera from the BTVN news anchor desk and go behind the scenes to find out what’s involved in the process of producing a daily news show. We’ll be all over Barstow campus, finding out what other campers are up to. Then, we’ll produce a news show filled with all of the excitement of the day and broadcast our work online via Livestream. Your news will keep parents updated on what’s happening during the day at Summer at Barstow.
Fees
All camp fees are due at the time of enrollment. There is a onetime non-refundable enrollment fee per camper.
Please note – If your child has any food allergy and/or special dietary needs, we strongly encourage you to bring a lunch to camp. Our menu is subject to change.
Extended Care Service
We offer Extended Care for campers preschool through grade 8. Our program features Summer at Barstow instructors and teaching assistants. Campers participate in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor activities, sports, board games and LEGO building. Campers are divided into two age-appropriate groups. Preschool through kindergarten campers enjoy activities in the Babbitt Media Center, while campers in grades 1–8 gather in the Lisa Schultz Dining Hall.
AM Care is offered from 7:15–8:45 a.m. daily, after which campers are escorted by staff to their camp meeting place. PM Care is offered from 3:30–6:00 p.m. If you are unexpectedly late or delayed in picking up your children, they are escorted by staff to Extended Care at 3:45 p.m.
