the Park District will be celebrating its annual Day of Service that continues Dr. Martin Luther King Junior's vision to improve lives, bridge social barriers and move our nation closer together to the beloved community. Volunteers will assist staff in restoration work and invasive plant removal in order to support and care for wildlife and their natural habitats. Volunteers will help restore the Martin Luther King Jr. Shoreline. We welcome children to participate, but ask that those under 16 are accompanied by one chaperone for every 20 kids.
