The objectives of this level are to build on the basic aquatic skills learned in Preschool Aquatics Level 1 and for participants to achieve further success with fundamental aquatic skills. Most skills in this level are performed with assistance from the instructor.
In order to pass Preschool Aquatics Level 2, children must be able to complete the following:
- Enter water by stepping in.
- Exit water by using ladder, steps or side.
- Complete a bob.
- Open eyes under water and retrieve object.
- Front float, front glide, black float, and black glide.
- Front glide and recover to vertical position.
- Black glide and recover to vertical position.
- Back float and recover to vertical position.
- Row from front to back and from back to front.
- Demonstrate treading action.
- Combined arm and leg action on front and on back.
- Finning arm action on back.
