We are offering a Live, half-day program with all materials included. Parents are given a hyperdoc schedule with Zoom links for all classes. Class supplies will be available for pick-up the Saturday before camp, or can be mailed for an extra charge. Reminder emails will be sent daily.
Captivate Explorers Camp is integrated camp which shows how “Science, Art, and History Fit Together.” We offer week-long camps during summer break for children ages 5-7. We believe that kids learn best through hands-on investigations and children will explore different cultures and time periods in our history. Our camp program fosters the development of the “whole child” and incorporates many team-building and spirit activities. Our teachers are experienced and credentialed.

Sample Daily Schedule
Captivate Explorers Camp is a half-day (9:00 am – 12:00 noon), virtual, integrated camp which shows how “Science, Art, and History Fit Together.” We believe that kids learn best through hands-on investigations and children will explore different cultures and time periods in our history. Our camp program fosters the development of the “whole child” and incorporates many team-building and social emotional learning activities. Our teachers are experienced and credentialed.
Virtual camp is capped at 25 students. Staff-to-student ratio in our in-person camps will not exceed 1:12 to ensure that each child gets plenty of attention and we have small, stable pods. For virtual camps, class size is capped to 25 to maintain an intimate camp feel. Our camp is kept intentionally small so that campers can build relationships with each other and the staff. We foster a learning environment filled with engaged students who are exploring, creating, laughing, playing, and moving.
Virtual Staycation – Explore Italy
In “Explore Italy,” students will embark on a fascinating “staycation” to explore the geography, culture, language, people, art and history of Italy. Explore the remarkable cities of Venice, Florence, Tuscany and Rome. Learn about the famous Italian cuisine and make a paper pizza! Create incredible art depicting the iconic “leaning tower of Pisa”. Dabble in “mosaics” in the spirit of the ancient Romans. Learn some Italian vocabulary and get ready for your great Italian adventure.
Virtual Staycation – Explore France
In “Explore France,” students will embark on a fascinating “staycation” to explore the geography, culture, language, people, art and history of France. The French are famous for their art. Create an Edgar Degas-inspired ballerina. Paint a colorful bowl of fruit just like Paul Cézanne. Construct a collage of lily pads in the impressionist style of Claude Monet. Work like an engineer to make a model of the Eiffel Tower from straws. Learn your numbers and key phrases in French before your embark on this incredible adventure.
Virtual Staycation – Explore China
In “Explore China,” students will embark on a fascinating “staycation” to explore the culture, language, people, art and history of China. Learn about the customs and traditions for Lunar New Year and paint a beautiful Chinese Dragon. Learn about the zodiac animals and read folktales from ancient China like Lon Po Po. Practice writing words using Chinese characters, and explore Chinese music and Chinese culinary delights. Pack your bags, and get ready for an adventure of a lifetime.
Virtual Staycation – Explore Hawaii
In “Explore Hawaii,” students will embark on a fascinating “staycation” to explore the Polynesian culture, language, people, art and history of Hawaii. Students will learn about volcanoes and will create a model of a volcanic eruption. Draw and paint vibrant tropical flowers such as plumeria and hibiscus. Read stories about Polynesian culture and learn about the Goddess Pele who lives in the volcano. Dance some hula moves while wearing your lei. Get ready for the ultimate Hawaiian staycation.
Virtual Staycation – Explore Japan
In “Explore Japan,” students will embark on a fascinating “staycation” to explore the culture, language, people, art and history of Japan. Create a lovely, colorful Kimono art project. Explore Japanese Pagoda architecture and paint a pagoda. Explore the famous cherry blossoms and the Cherry Blossom Festival. Learn about the towering Mount Fuji, an active volcano, and how the Japanese have learned to live with volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Practice your Japanese words before “flying” to this fascinating country.
