This is the fourth course in the 5-course Java series. It continues to emphasize object-oriented principles and design. It covers a handful of Java features added since Java 8. More specific areas are taught such as threads, date, time and calendar. There is also more on JavaFX. In-depth understanding and applying of 2D arrays and loops are reinforced and ties in with the final project.
The Java series is roughly equivalent to what is being taught at a high school Java class. Upon completion of this series, it will cover all topics in the AP Computer Science exam. Unlike the exam, this class and the series provide a complete coverage of the Java language including the use of the latest version and features which continue to evolve. It emphasizes best practices and hands-on experience.
Exercises are provided each week with valuable and insightful feedback given if submitted online.
