Acro is a fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic/gymnastic elements. Acro dancers train in both dance and acrobatic elements; Acrobatic technique includes flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering, and tumbling, and is taught on mats for our dancers" safety. More recently, acro has gained popularity with the wide-spread success of Cirque du Soleil.
