Youth will enhance their critical thinking, problem solving, and creative skills by integrating art, science, technology, engineering, and math in our hands-on camp. Using solely cardboard and duct tape, teens will work collaboratively to design, construct, and race their very own life-size boat! Our last ay will consist of a Citywide Boat Race where participants will get to put their creation to the test!Friday's hours are extended but voluntary. Campers are encouraged to participate in our evening pre-race BBQ and Boat Race, field trip form will be required. Transportation and food will be provided. Please bring a swim suit and a change of clothes.

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) Scholarship Program will ensure that qualifying San José residents have affordable access to participation in PRNS programs, classes and services. All requests are subject to available funding. Eligibility requirements may differ for each scholarship.
